You may use any medium you would like, cloth, glitter, collage, ink, water-color, food (just kidding about that...kind of) just be creative, have fun and please make a standard sized ATC for your one partner. Please make it something you would be proud to have and proud to give. I will also be doing other characters like Boogie Woogie, the Mayor, Sandy Claws, and more. lf you are un-clear or have any questions at all please do not hesitate to leave a comment or message me. This is only US right now. If there is enough interest I may make an international swap, but please let me know if you would like that.

Newbies Welcome and I will angel! :)

I love nightmare but I'm unsure what an ATC is. Could you explain or provide some links for me to look it up online? Thanks a bunch :)

@ginger4520 absolutely! The only rule with an ATC (artist trading card) is the size. It should be the size of a playing card, or pokemon card or deck of cards if you will. It should be on a sturdy background and the rest is up to you. Depending on the theme you can do a collage (clippings from magazines, etc) you can draw with pencils, inks, watercolors, acrylics, etc. You can use stickers, stamps. Anything you can think of to convey the main idea of the theme.

ATC – Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists create, trade and collect art at organized “swap” events or through the mail, in person or online. The only official rule for ATCs is the size: 2.5″ x 3.5″. As a general rule, swaps are open to any media, materials or techniques as long as the card fits into a standard trading card sleeve. ATCs are traded, not sold. You may find that individual swaps on Swap Bot have rules as to how the ATC should be created for that particular swap. Each one is different, so make sure you read the swap description carefully before signing up. There are some artists who choose to sell cards. Cards that are sold are called Art Card Editions and Originals (ACEO) and are often found directly on the artist’s site or on EBay.

This is the definition from the glossary here. If you click on my profile under "flickr photos" you can see some examples of what I have made. As long as you are creative and are proud of what you have made I'm sure the person receiving it will be proud too.

If you have any further questions, just let me know! ;)

Sally was hard to draw for me... Jack was easier. Not what I expected. LOL

devdevie 09/28/2011 #

I"m actually a little afraid and I thought she was the hardest so to be honest I just wanted to get it out of the way because she is still a vital character.

MSturgill87 09/28/2011 #

@devdevie - She was definitely harder for me than Jack was. I like to make my ATCs with plenty of time to spare, so I have already made this one (as of yesterday).

Mine turned out really cool! You chould check out my Flickr page. I didn't expect it too either. Whoo hoo!
