Local Flavors Foodie Swap

If you're a foodie like me, then you LOVE checking out the local food culture anywhere you go ~ local markets, restaurants, specialty treats, anything food related! This swap will treat you to a taste of another place, and may even introduce you to new favorites in your own area!

The premise is simple ~ put together a nice package of foodie goodness from your area. This could include anything special to your state. Once you've collected your treats, add a [blank] postcard from your town and a favorite recipe for a local specialty, and your package is complete! You will only have one partner, so you can put some thought into it. Let's make it roughly $15 to spend (before postage), and get creative! Send things that you yourself would enjoy receiving.

Okay, my one rule: please do not make posts regarding wish lists. For me, the joy of swapping is about getting creative and putting my own thought, time, and effort into what I send out. It is not about taking my partner's checklist to the store with me, okay?? Trust your partner!! One exception to this rule: allergies!

Remember people -- rating!! Give your partner enough time to actually get the package to you, benefit of the doubt and all that, and maybe even drop them a note before you automatically assume they flaked! If (and you should!) you get a package in a timely manner that thrills you, go back and rate your partner! The good ratings always help and tell us all who's doing a good job!
