Description:

For this swap, you will send your partner one thing to warm them up this winter season. I know that there are a lot of cheap plain gloves/scarves/hats/etc out there, but TRY to send somethig cute, such as gloves with snowflakes on it, ya know? AND! You will also send them one pack of something hot to drink- hot chocolate, or tea.

This swap is mainly senders choice, BUT I know some people can't stand the feel of things wrapped around their neck, or they hate wearing hats, that sort of thing. So if you have an item you do NOT want, please leave it in the comments section, but don't be too specific. No "only blue colored items, please" that sort of thing. Due to shipping costs, this is USA only (if a lot of people ask, I will make an Intl one) Newbies welcome, but I shouldn't have to angel- swap fair, please!

Edit: I extended the send out date, as a member has mentioned to me that since many people would like to make an item for their partner, more time would be very helpful.

This sounds like a wonderful swap! I'm going to wait closer to the deadline before signing up.

I just wanted to offer a suggestion about changing this swap to International if a lot of people ask for it. Many people join a USA only swap to save on postage. So if you were to determine it was worthwhile to make it International, you might want to create a NEW international swap instead of changing this one. Or at least give your swappers a heads-up to let them know you changed it to International if you do. Hopefully that will alleviate some disappointed swappers if they come back after signups have been made to discover the USA Only swap they signed up for was now International.

@KarlaKC that's a very good point! I'll edit the swap information now, thank you :)

It's a habit to say that in all my swaps-- don't ask why, I couldn't tell ya-- but have yet to ever change any.

Hi - I just joined the swap. I knit cute fuzzy neckscarves and am looking forward to sending one on to its new home! For me, I can't wear wool (which kinda sucks being a knitter).

@adlpated thanks for joining! Sorry you're a knitter than can't wear wool :(

I don't wear hats and I have SHORT fingers so gloves might not be a good idea (unless they are fingerless). I work at my local Walmart and the building is usually VERY cold durring the winter and I'll wear a scarf or cowl and fingerless gloves or arm warmers inside. PLEASE, PLEASE help keep me warm at work this winter. =)

Im crocheting my warm-up. As long as it isnt something they say they dont want. Im going the simple but soft and cozy route with it. Can`t wait to see who my partner is!

If my partner sends a scarf crocheted PLEASE do not make it only 2-3 rows. I received one once with 3 single crocheted rows and she called it a neck scarf.......... Not meaning to be picky here but ....... Anyway can't wait to see what my partner sends me.

I would love something knitted or crocheted! :) Either way, a hat would be preferred, but I'm sure I'll love whatever I end up getting. :)

No wool please and I don't wear scarfs or hats. Although if you want to send a hat for one of my daughters (info in profile) that would be ok.

Chicago is VERY cold in the winter, so I am looking forward to this swap! I am open to receiving whatever my partner sends me - especially if it is handmade! Thanks for creating this wonderful swap!

This sounds like a wonderful swap, but I noticed it too late to join. Maybe if you have another, it's still cold in CT in January
