Description:

PLEASE NOTE: I will be dropping participants that do not qualify for this swap the day before assigning partners. Everyone that participates will be let in on a case by case basis and I WILL angel if I need to.

I did one of these last Christmas and everyone who joined LOVED their Bag and had a lot of fun!!

It's almost Christmas, so I thought I would put this up again this year!!

This Swap will be for One Cloth Mini Tote Bag, Stuffed with Goodies for your Partner. These Mini Totes are available at most .99 cent stores and dollar stores. Any Color, Sturdy Material or Pattern is Fine. Should be about 8" X 9" Feel free to decorate the tote if you like :)

Everyone will have One partner and will be stuffing the bag with at" Least" 15 different items and a Christmas Card,

You can send extras if you like but it is not required. Duplicates are fine but are counted as One Item. The idea is to give your partner a pretty wide variation of Surprises in their Mini Tote:)

Handmade or Store bought items are both fine, Or you may use Craft Supplies from your own Stash as long as Everything is in New, Clean, Usable Condition. Please try to include a few Girl-y Items for your Partner.

Dollar amount is set at around $15 not including shipping.

Last year, shipping for this tote was only around $5. So it wasn't bad at all.

This one is Senders Choice so you can start putting this together right away if you like, but it would be nice to check your partners profile after partners are assigned for any Strong Dis-likes and Allergies. Let's keep it Fun:) It's Christmas!!

(EDIT) Again, This swap is SENDERS CHOICE!! Please have a wide Variety of things on your Wishlist.. Your partner has to find 15 different things to put in your bag. That will be very difficult for them if your profile is extremely specific or limited. If you do happen to have a profile that makes the swap hard on your partner, please be prepared to receive things that are on the Suggestion List below .

Everything MUST be wrapped for our Partners to open for Christmas :)

Item Examples would include but are not limited to:

Any Small Christmas Craft Supplies

Christmas Ornaments

Small DIY Craft Kit

Tiny Dotee Doll

NEWBIES: Please feel free to join the Newbie version of this swap :)

PLEASE SEND ON TIME!! Everyone should have their Tote Before Christmas! We will have a whole month to put the tote together for our partners.

Fun...can it be a decorated paper bag or does it need to be a cloth bag?

MysticBayou 10/30/2011 #

@institches The bag should be made of some sort of cloth, but it could still be decorated if you wanted to do that. :)

I was in last years swap and it was amazing:) Thanks Anna for hosting this one, again!!! Love ya , girl!!!!

I spent over $40 for this swap and $10 for shipping and still my partner is ungrateful saying i did not follow instructions.. People like that make me hate these kind of swaps.. It is christmas jeez.. Next time a price should be put and not an item count.

zerofantasies 11/27/2011 #

Sorry I missed the swap! Sounds like it would have been great.

@QtPie - Um there is a dollar amount on there. She clearly states around $15 before shipping. Looks like a clear description to me

CajunLady 11/28/2011 #

Yeah and I have pictures to prove you no way spent $40.

And by the way, I'm not being ungrateful. YOU didn't follow directions. THAT is the only problem I have with this swap. Candy is candy, no matter what kind it is. You sent me 5 pieces, most likely left over Halloween stuff. So 5 pieces of candy counts as 1 item. You also sent 2 coloring books. *Duplicates are fine but are counted as One Item. * (from description)
I'm not sure where you shop, as you said you don't shop at dollar stores. But the stuff you sent me in no way amounts to $40, even including shipping, which was $8.23.
