Description:

International & Newbie’s Welcome

This swap is for paper. Think of newspapers, magazines, junk mail, and takeout menus, phone book ads, flyers, business cards, food packages, and local paper goods.

I don't know about you but I love the way this so called garbage looks from other countries and states. Each area has such a unique way of packaging and selling goods. These papers are great for craft projects, act, scrap booking, card making etc...

For this swap we will be sending at least 50 different papers or paper type products. Example one phonebook page or a business card. Each one of these counts as one item. Try to mix up your lot as much as possible no one wants a whole phonebook or just an old magazine. Try not to spend any money on this swap if you find that perfect item that just has to be included in your swap try not to spend over 5 dollas US on it. This of course does not include shipping.

For hearts you could try and match your choosen items to your partners profile or include a little something extra that you know your partners will like.

The rules You must be a 4.5 or higher No: no send in the past 3 months Newbie’s welcome with complete profile.

Happy Swapping

I have been asked several questions about this swap so let me answer the question on here as well so we all can know the answers.

  1. You do not have to send a whole book, magazine, or any other bound material. If you like just a page or section that is perfectly fine and exactly what this swap is about. Finding things you like in your everyday life that normaly get discarded or overlooked and share your finds with others.

2.yes thin non paper items are okay. Think about plastics, metals, fabrics. examples could be laundry tags, dog or army tags, clips from food cartons or household products. Just try to keep the items as thin as possible.

3.Your state or city names does not have to be on all the papers if they are this would be a super bonus.

I thought I was the only one who liked this stuff! :P

jade240 02/10/2008 #

Nope I love it. I am quite the pack rat. I did not want to throw away my collection of odd paper goods so I decided to share it instead.

Now I know I'm not "strange" & "weird" nor "garbage collector"

LOL~!

FarStarr 02/12/2008 #

Yeah to "Beautiful Trash'!!!

Looking for some ideas. How about used lotto tickets, ticket stubs ( ball games, movies etc...), Town maps, Local invoices or Sales receipt, and of course postcards. Happy collecting. Don't forget to help out fellow swappers and post your ideas and finds. Happy Swapping.

How Is everyone doing. Anything new and fun to add?

FarStarr 02/23/2008 #

I've been picking up mostly take-out menus, brochures, and some food packaging.

jade240 02/23/2008 #

Good Ideas and finds FarStarr, but don't forget business cards, old postcards and stamps or printed store napkins and good take out bags. Happy hunting everyone.

i would love to join this but i dont know if i can come up with 50 lots of stuff that is different. living in the city would give a greater advantage to this. i will sign up and then drop if i find it too hard. promise not to drop right at the last minute though.

jade240 02/28/2008 #

You can do it tkoufus. Just start saving your paper garbage. Than pack them up and send. A single page or napkin counts as an item. I thought this would be hard at first, but soon I had way to much stuff to send and got to choose. Hope you come aboard and as always happy swapping.

What countries are you all from?

ronsrandomstuff 03/ 4/2008 #

I'm off on a 10 day, driving vacation tomorrow night and will return home just in time to send off two packages of misc. goodies I pick up along the way.

Wow, I can't believe how time consuming this was for me. I usually send my items out within the first week after the signup date but this one took me much longer. I somehow managed to make it to 105 and sent them all along. Alisa and Sleepingrover2010 be on the look out for your large envelope of stuff! :)

loulou2112 03/19/2008 #

I'm sorry I have been so late in sending my two packets out but I have just made it. drlepper and joanieponytail57 your packets are on their way :)

ronsrandomstuff 03/29/2008 #
