Description:

I love getting decorated envelopes in my mailbox. It's one of my favorite swaps to hostess. If you do also, then sign up for my Decorated an Envie with TREES Swap! You will send your partner a fun decorated envelope with trees. The envelope can be any size but decorate it anyway you would like with drawings, glitter, stamps, whatever. You are the artist!

I beg you to spend some time on sending something you would like to pull out of the mailbox and only join if you intend on doing that. Please don't join if you are going to slap something together. Now that I have hostessed this sort of a swap many times, I get so many complaints from people about what their partners send. An envelope with a few junky stickers is not what someone wants to pull out of their mailbox! Only join if you like to create. You don't have to be a great artist, I know I am not but I enjoy creating and putting my best effort forward.

People have asked when to give another a heart so for me, some cheer in the form of a card, letter, recipe, poem, sticker or whatever you see fit. (I changed the wording to make TerryF happy). I'm not telling people what to do. I'm trying to answer the questions that I get having done envie swaps for many years on swap-bot.

Open to all 4.75 rated but this is meant to be for people who won't flake or who flaked a little in the past and want to redeem themselves. I will let newbies join to get some ratings. USA only but if you want to make an international one, be my guest! Let's have some fun and spread some cheer decorated envie-style!

I posted a picture of a wonderful swap envie that I found on the internet. What a fun envelope that I would love to get! Isn't it pretty?

Common Questions:

A decorated envie is decorated on the outside of the envelope where you address the letter to your partner. Backside is optional. You do not have to "make" the envelope. If the deadline to sign up is June 8, then I can't assign partners until June 9 and it may be late in the evening but I will assign them! :)

Tia, I love doing artwork on envelopes - whatever theme as long as its "G-"rated to get thru the US mail. Got all the rubberstamp images, pictures, pens, inks, paint, etc., to do the artwork on the envelope. All the work to put art on an envelope to be sent out to the swap mate & Host, then - ? Why don't the receivers of the mail art envelope put the image online? Show others what you received in the mail from Swap - Bot!

For a heart, put some cheer in the form of a card, letter, recipe, poem, sticker or whatever you see fit.

From the SB FAQ:

Swap coordinators should never dictate when hearts should be given. Also, swap participants should never demand that they receive a heart for their sent swap items. Hearts are only to be given at the discretion of each swap recipient.

Hi Whippet:

I love that idea to post the images but I don't know how to do it. If someone would like to make a site for us, that would rock! Perhaps you? :)

Hi TerryF:

So many people ask when to give a heart or how to get a heart so I put that. I would never dictate what should be done. I'm trying to be helpful.
