As we are all in the Love to Travel Group why not swap a travel journal to use on your next holiday. Purchase a notebook which is strong/sturdy. A good size is approximately 20cm x 15cm (8x6 inches) but it doesn't have to be exactly that. Make sure it's not too big & cumbersome though or too small that it can easily get lost. Decorate the cover (both front & back) of a sturdy notebook using the themes of travel/hoiday but also referring to your partners likes & dislikes in regards to colours etc. You can also include a pocket inside the front cover where tickets/receipts etc. can be placed. eg. I dislike the colour pink so would not like to receive a jourmal that's pink!! Remember that the idea of a travel journal is to take away with you so it needs to be practical & easy to pack into a suitcase/rucksack/day pack. Please leave a comment below if you'd like your name (and which name) on the front of your journal so your swap partner can include that as part of the cover. I am going to Bali on June 5th so my journal will be used quickly once received!!

I also would prefer something a bit larger and flatter. My name is Denise and it will be up to my partner whether they put my name on it or not. Either way is fine with me.

Just like Ali said, you can put my name (Ingrid) on the front or not. I'll leave it up to you. As I am quite into the Asian theme at the moment, anything related to Japan or even India would be greatly appreciated :o)

I'd prefer not to have my name on the cover-- the last thing I need is for someone creepy to decide that, if they can figure out my name, that gives them the right to strike up a conversation with me, regardless of if my nose is in a book, knitting project, or out the window (c'mon, you all know the type!)

I love travel journals that have creative pages inside. For example, I once has a journal where all the pages were pre-printed with stuff like: "Hotel Name: Dates stayed: Cost/night: Location: Phone #: Comments:"

The book had entries for hotels, events, attractions, and restaurants-- it was my favorite travel notebook! It had a space in front for travel planning (basically a weekly planner, but it was very convenient).

That's not saying my partner has or should decorate mine inside-- I just wanted to reminisce! :D
