could someone please explain, in as much detail as you can, what book pages are. I am new and I gather that they are pages taken from a book but are we supposed to just tear up a good book or do we take the pages from an old tattered one? I am interested in this swap and want info...thanks

Yes, that is usually what it means. Pages torn from old, damaged or unusable books. You can buy a cheapo one from a thrift store if you don't have one at your home. Don't send the damaged pages - send neatly torn out pages.

Yes what @smmarrty said. Tear out the pages neatly from an book.
