Description:

This is my first real swap (not private) I just cant wait to get into creating swaps and so here goes -

SLAMS!!! FRIENDSHIP BOOKS!!! STICKER BAGS!!! STICKER BOOKS!!! A DECO (if it fits)!!!

Each person will send their partner an envelope with only as many items (listed above) that will make it by a .85 cent or .65 cent stamp! Since not all postal offices are created equal some of you will be able to sneak a TON more by on postage.

This is just a small swap and if you would like to include a small note about yourself to your partner that is totally up to you but not necessary for this swap.

What this swap will require is 1, 2, 3, 4 or even MORE books or bags sent to one partner.

This is a small swap so please try not to exceed a dollar on your postage :)

MAKE SURE the name of this swap is on the envelope or inside of it somewhere.

This is a USA only Swap - sorry! I generally do NOT swap Friendship books but I am making this swap open to them.

Please rate your partner fair = 5's for an envy with one or more of the above listed swappable items. There should be no reason to rate a 3 or less unless you do not get your swap ofcourse. You will have one week to get your swap out from the start date. That should be plenty of time for simple small envy stamped for less than a dollar to get out to your partner

NO FLAKES!!

Happy swapping yall

THIS IS GREAT! IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A WAY TO GET A START ON THIS SITE!! ITS SO HARD TO GET INTO ANY SWAPS WITH NO CRED! THANKS FOR ALLOWING ME TO PARTICIPATE

This is a good idea. BUT... The last several times I've mailed out even one sticker bag I'm getting charged $.65 because the envie is lumpy and therefore non-machinable. So you might want to either change it to something very flat, or change it to a set amount of items to send and not mention the postage cost. Good luck!

Happycrazylion 11/29/2012 #

Yeah I agree with tiggerkitn25 I mailed out 3 envies with 4 sticker bags today for 1.10 each.

Anything with a lump yes, uneven............20 more...........if it is over 1/4" thick has to go as a package. Then 2 oz is 1.95 I think. So for one stamp..............flat..............under one ounce and you are good.

usps.com has a great calculator to find rules and estimate postage. I use it all of the time.

Awe GREAT!!! This is my very first time hosting a swap on here! Do any of you know how I should go about changing it - Cuz I already named it .45 cent swap -.- I was just getting into bed and saw all these comments - Its 2am and far to late to be doing anything serious :( I will take care of this tomorrow afternoon. Thank u all for your sinserity and guidance and good advice

I realize again how not all post offices are created equal - I ususally get a few fbs or Lbs by the .45 cent postage easy. However I understand its not the same for everyone. Some post offices over here dont even post mark - they just mark through the stamps with a sharpie marker or pen (which bugs me cuz I love to see what city my mail came out of).

tiggerkitn25 12/ 1/2012 #

Well, BEFORE you assign partners you should email or PM the other 2 swappers and make sure they are okay with any changes. You have up to seven days to assign, so you are ok there. I'd probably just email them and explain that the envies probably aren't going to be only $.45 and they should take them to their PO to make sure before sending. That way they can drop the swap if they want.

Barbi 12/ 1/2012 #

You can send 1 lightweight, thin FB or starter LB easily for .45. I like this swap :) But if it is thicker it might need more so I hope people have them checked at the PO and we can't get rated poorly for sending something over .45.

roaddummy 12/ 1/2012 #

I am OK with the changes in postage fees. I have something in mind already and it will be much more than the $0.45. I am open to anything!!!

MelissaJoy 12/ 2/2012 #

Oh thanks so much all of you for being so understanding and cooperative! Im working on it right now and wouldn't u believe on the night I have to assign my computer is FREEZING LIKE CRAZY!!! I had a nightmare about this and I am freaking out cuz I am totally flashing back on it like right now -.- Yikes :P

roaddummy 12/ 2/2012 #

Don't worry. Mine usually does that when I really need to do something with it. Shhhh! don't tell my computer but I am probably going to get a new one after the first of the year!!

PamelaHuusko 12/ 2/2012 #

LOL!!! I'm on an iPad an I am so glad it doesn't freeze up on me :) I hope like hell I don't jinx myself!

MelissaJoy 12/ 2/2012 #

I have made the necessary changes and I really hope you are all ok with them. I took a little advice from all of you :) Thank u all for baring with me here. I will assign very shortly there are 6 in this swap so far and tonight at midnight is the deadline to join up :O Happy swapping to you all and I hope it goes well and that no one flakes out on this swap.
