Description:

There is nothing I love more than creating my own journal pages.

Not only do I use them to journal in, but I also include pictures, postcards, airline tickets and different things that remind me of trips I've taken or special days I want my family to remember for years to come!

I also include homemade envelopes that I punch and use in my journal to put loose items in. If you have a punching system like Zutter, great, if not then you can use a single hole punch and buy a ring that opens up so you can put your pages in. Or you can punch 3 holes and buy 3 rings or use a 3-ring binder. For the cover you can use a piece of cardboard. What I do is tear the top piece off the cardboard sheet so that the ridges are exposed. There are lots of choices to use for covers. And these make wonderful gifts!

For this swap you must have no 1's in the past 5 months and have current swaps to join. I will reserve the right to remove anyone that has 3's because of poor quality work.

This swap will run until we have 18 pages total in our journals.

Pages must be 6x6. I use my Dream Kuts by Zutter to cut one 12x12 page in half and then in half again. You will have one partner with 3 differnt pages to send. You can do one page with lines, one with stamping and one with craft flowers...your pages do not need to only be flat, do whatever you want, but please send something you would like to receive. PLEASE, no stickers just stuck on a page! Even though this is senders choice it wouldn't hurt to look at your partners profile.
Please DO NOT PUNCH YOUR PARTNERS PAGES as this could cause them not to be able to use them.

If you have any questions please shoot me a message!!! I'm here to help if you need me!

EDIT: You can make an envelope for your 6x6 pages by using a 12x12 sheet of paper. The postoffice isn't to picky about the way it looks as long as you have it addressed and postage is correct. If you add a piece of cardboard it will prevent it from bending!

are the lines, stamping and craft flowers requirements for this round of journal pages or was that a suggestion to make all three pages different? Im just wondering. I'd love to join and I want to make sure I fully understand the swap :)

Only Suggestions....the one I did recently has all kinds of things attached and has been a hug hit! The beauty about this is when you receive your pages you can always add onto them if you want to!!!

And are we creating pages that our partner can use? Or can I create a complete journal page? I hope that makes sense.

We are creating pages that our partners can use. And the sender is embellishing them. I hope that answered your question!! I am going to be putting up some pages that I have done in the past out of my 6x6 album. I will post the link once I figure out where to put them!

Heh, thanks for posting Lostgirl :3 It did answer my question.

Question. I already did this, but want to know if I need to do it next time... do I use cardboard between two sheets of paper to make a single page so it is sturdy, or are we just cutting a sheet of paper into 6x6 and decorating both sides? If I did it wrong, my partner can always use them as covers and a divider :)

Also, is this a normal, general journal or a smash journal? I probably should have asked that first. It will influence how I 'decorate'.

I am sorry I saw this so late! These are sheets of paper, thicker paper is what I use. I usually us watercolor paper, but you can use whatever you want. You just need to add something to the paper. I can be stamped or whatever. If you look at the photos I added at the top you can see. Some can be for pictures, some for journal...if the receiver doesn't care for something they can always add to it or take away from it!!

I thought I saw cardboard between them, so that is what I did.... they will be very sturdy anyway :) For future reference, I will use the watercolor paper from the craft store.

I made a photo group on Flickr if you are interested:

I just LOVE to look at pages by other people. Warning to my swap partner.... your pages are on there, so don't look if you want to be surprised when you get the envie :) (That would be Kimberly Lippman)

I really hope you plan on doing this series again, after the initial 18 pages! I could do this every single month for a long time ;)

I might resend this one after the first, when I can pick up some of that kind of paper... I feel bad for making something not to specs. I'll message her and ask her what she prefers I do.
