Description:

Just in time for Summer, this swap will give you the opportunity to step back and appreciate all the interesting places in your hometown. From New York City to Corn, Oklahoma (yes, it really exists!), every place has something to see and do.

For this swap, you will create some kind of tourism materials describing your hometown, either the place you grew up or where you live now if it's different. Each swapper will have one partner. The format is up to you: trifold brochure, small book, flipbook, treasure map, full-on travel guide, etc. You can use your imagination and create something totally unique as long as the end result clearly resembles tourism information. The materials should highlight the best things to see and do in your hometown. From major tourist attractions to hole-in-the-wall coffee shops, the content is up to you. Just try to show your partner why they should visit your hometown. You can use computer software, collage, painting, photography, embroidery, or any other format to create the travel guide.

Like I said, the content is up to you, but here are some examples of things you could include:
* Major landmarks
* Favorite restaurants
* Historical information
* Population/demographics
* Random facts about the town
* Different pictures
* Information on the arts scene
* Trendy neighborhoods
* Hidden treasures
* Topography/map

The swap is open to swappers with a 4.5 or better or newbies who contact me and assure me of their dedication. If you're an established swapper who's been rated unfairly in the past but still want to join, send me a message. I will angel if necessary, but I really, REALLY don't want it to be.

This swap is international. If you have questions or comments, just let me know. Thanks for joining!

What a cool idea! Glad the send date is so far off.

Thanks for joining! I wanted to make it far in the future so people have time to put plenty of effort into assembling the end product, taking photos, etc.

Welcome, everyone! Partners are assigned. You have one month from today to complete your materials. I can't wait to get started! If anyone is interested, I was thinking of starting a page or Flickr group where we could share what we've done. Let me know if you'd like to post what you came up with. :)

I created a Flickr group and invited everyone to it. Feel free to post pictures of what you've made there!
