Description:

This was a huge succes last month - hopefully I can get interest in this monthly.

DETAILS: You will decorate a minimum of four (4) wooden clothespins to 1 Partner. The wooden clothespins are the ones with the silver spring that open and close (not the flat back ones). This is for regular size (not the minis) that you would use to hang your clothes on a clothesline.

Please make each clothespin DIFFERENT.

This is a senders choice – so if you sign up you can start making them now. Looking over a partners profile is nice but not required.

Ideas for decorating: Adding buttons, bows, ribbons, gems, paint, flowers, brads, eyelets, gloss, adding stickers (that will stay on)...etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

You must be in good standing – no recent 1 and 3s. If you are a Newbie – you MUST have a filled out profile (I will be checking)and prior to me assigning partners if you have not logged in within the past 2 days you will be dropped.

I will Angel anyone who gets flaked on after you have tried to contact your partner and rated a 1.

Please do not forget to put your swap-bot ID and the Swap name somewhere in your package.

Any questions or concerns – please feel free to contact me.

Happy Swapping!

what a cute idea. Before I hit the join button I will find wooden clothespins!

GrammaSherry, you can find them at Walmart near the laundry baskets and irons. I've even seen them at the Dollar Tree.

Wow, what a cool idea! I can envision adding magnets on the back after embellishing so they can be used on a refrigerator or in an office to clip papers! How else would you all use these altered clothespins?

Littletiscrafty 02/23/2013 #

@karkaKC I use these to hold bills together, postcards, receipes, sometimes to hold something I'm gluing together when working on a paper project like an ATC or paper piecing. Magnets added are great for the fridge too to hold important papers etc.

Mine are on the fridge too, I use them for clipping bags of dry goods to keep them closed in the cupboards and pantry...They are great as chip clips too!

I use my altered clothespins to display note cards and cool paper crafts I receive from my partners on Swap-bot. I re-purposed a plastic hook from a package of socks by gluing a 3" thick ribbon to it and hanging the long ribbon vertically on my wall. The cards look so pretty on it!
