Let's decorate a small matchbox (50 ct here in Australia) including the draw in a beach theme and then fill it to the brim with goodies in keeping with this beach theme. The list of things you can fill the matchbox with includes but is not limited to the following ~ stickers, embellishments, paper punches, brads, ribbon, buttons etc. Please use a variety of items. I suggest if you are unsure or would like to see examples then search Flickr :-) It is surprising how much actually fits into a matchbox! I use purchased matchboxes but you can also a template ~ if you need one click here To ensure the matchbox arrives in great condition please fill it & either wrapped in bubble wrap or in a padded bag/other suitable packaging. Even though we are swapping within our own country there are still quarantine requirements between some states so please check before using sand/shells in your decorating if sending interstate! Postage is not expensive ~ I use a purchased matchbox and once decorated & filled I wrap it in bubble wrap & send it in an envelope covered in cellotape/contact so the box can't tear the paper. This then only costs $1 to post anywhere in Australia! p.s. I am very keen on hosting a lot more matchbox swaps so please lists any ideas/preferences in the forum :-) |
