~~ This is a letter swap ~~ Preamble I feel I must preamble this swap with my junior high experience - When I first started jr. hi (7-9th grade), we seventh grade girls were assigned a "Big Sister" - a young girl student from the 9th grade, The Big Sister was to help her first year Little Sister, in coping with the new school - ... Helping her find her way around, letting her know about which teachers were good/mean/etc, helping them to know the school better, and, just generally listening to their concerns/fears/frustrations of entering a new school. The Big Sister would then offer guidance/advice, and just generally be a sympathetic, helpful, ear for her Little Sister. So! - It is in this vein, I explain this swap: Instructions One partner - You will send your partner a missive, stating some problem you are experiencing - As little as a hang-nail that won't heal, to, a massive heart -wrenching, problem ... When you SEND your partner your problem, you will be playing the Little Sister. When you RECEIVE a problem from the partner Swap-Bot assigns to send to you, you will answer that person, as a Big Sister - As a Big Sister, you will offer that Little Sister Your advice for whatever ails them. Now - You may not like the advice offered! - So - Please don't rate badly, just because you might not like the advice given. I think it might be fun and interesting to have some input from someone who is not caught up in whatever problem you're experiencing. You can write your predicament on beautiful stationery, a post card, note-card, or, print it out on computer paper - It's up to you.... Just as long as your partner can decipher it. You can be succinct, or, verbose, as you want. Just realize your partner may not have the same writing expression as you. So - You will be writing twice -- Once, outgoing mail, to your partner, Telling your partner your problem, (You'll be Little Sister doing this) and, then, You'll be writing to an in-coming letter and answering that letter as a Big Sister - Offering the incoming letter, aka Little Sister, your advice. I hope this isn't too-too confusing - I'll answer any questions about this swap, in the Comment section. Thank you for reading :-) |
