Description:

I love the Pass and Paste postcards. They are a really fun form of Mail Art. This is a USA and Canada swap.

In this swap, you will send one Pass and Paste postcard to one partner. You can join in at any time by starting a Pass and Paste Postcard, or by sending on one that you have received from an earlier round, or another source.

To start a Pass and Paste PC, divide the PC in to 4 equal sections. You can send any shape or size, use wavy lines or straight lines to divide the sections, etc. It's up to you. Please use a sturdy material for the base. You then label each section 1-4, or A-D, and pick a section for you to create in. Create your mailart in one section. You can paint, collage, make a drawing, use fabric, do whatever you want to make creative mail art.

Next turn the PC over, and address the postcard to yourself. Also, divide the left side, in to 4 writing areas and label them the same as you did on the front 1-4, etc. This is where you, the artist, can leave a note, a quote, a drawing, your artist info, etc. If you completed section B on the front side...then you will write in section B on the backside.

Once you have completed your section, you mail the postcard, in an envelope, to your partner, by the send by date. In the next round, you will use the postcard you have received. You will create in one of the sections and then send that PC forward. If you like to work ahead, feel free to create on these as soon as you get them. Once you receive a postcard, and you are the last person to create on it (you fill the last space on the PC), then please mail it back, naked, to the original starter (name and mailing info should be on the card already).

You can jump in and start at any point, irregardless of what round it is, simply by starting a Pass and Paste postcard. If you receive an unfinished Pass and Paste PC, please always send it on, even if you decide not to particpate any longer. At the very least, send it back to the original starter or send it to me and I will forward it on. That way everyone should eventually get their postcard back.

You can create in any medium that you like but please make sure you adhere any items securely..as these will eventually be mailed naked.

Have fun.

Please be in good standing of the group, have a filled out profile, with no recent unexplained low ratings.

I missed round A.

If I start this one, do I label the sections B, C, D, E?

Oh, and I assume we should put a stamp on the card as well, right?

You can label the sections 1-4, or A-D....they have nothing to do with what round it is. Just make sure to include the round it is, and your user name somewhere on the postcard.
As far as the stamp.....no, you are not required to put a stamp on it. Simply because this is US and Canada swap, so putting a US stamp on your card will not be useful for our Canadian swappers and vice versa. Once a card is full, whoever has it will put whatever stamp they need on it to mail it back home to the starter. Thanks.
