Description:

This swap was being hosted by bettflow09. She hasn't been on in a few weeks, so I am hosting until she returns as the previous participants still want to swap.

You will send two 7" basic traditional granny squares to each of your assigned partners. Now everyone will have 5 partners so you will be mailing out a total of 10 grannies, 2 to each partner.

IMPORTANT!!! Each granny must be made using the basic traditional granny square pattern. Also, you MUST use a 4-ply worsted weight acrylic yarn. DO NOT use cotton or wool for these squares and DO NOT use anything lighter than 4-ply. You must use a different color yarn for each round so that each granny will have a rainbow of colors, thus the swap name. The number of rounds depends on the size hook you use and how tight/loose you crochet. Please measure your squares accurately and make sure that they are no more than 1/8-1/4 of an inch of 7 inches!

Any questions, please send me a message. Rating requirement for 4.8 and up. With no recent 1's or 3's. Newbies welcome with a WELL filled out and detailed profile.

Also ~ I live in "Boonyville" and sometimes our internet connection isn't very good. This is especially true when it rains & in the winter months. So please be patient, partners will get assigned and if needed I will extend the send date.

I have a quick question, can the two grannies we send to each partner be the same? ( like the center is yellow, the next round is blue, the next round is red, and green is the last round) or do we have to switch so the second grannie we send has a green center, the next round is yellow, the next round is blue and the last round is red. just need to know before i sign up! thanks 1creativemama

@1creativemama - Thanks for your question. Most people prefer to have their squares be different. What you could do, and I have done before is make one set of 5 squares the same, then the other set of 5 squares the same. Then send 1 each to my 5 different partners. Hope this helps!
