Let's swap bodies! Paper bodies! For this swap we will be creating mix-and-match style Halloween themed Zetti figures. Each mixed-up figure will consist of 3 separate sections, with each section on a separate 2"x2" square (twinchie), like so:
*I say "arms" and "legs/feet", but your figures do not have to be humanoid or even posses a conventional amount/type of appendages. Peg leg, wings, tentacles, 3 legs and a tail, hook hands, tree limbs...go for it. These are your little Frankenstein monsters :) We'll each create 3 figures which will come out to 9 twinchies per person. When it comes time to swap with your partners, KEEP THE HEADS OF YOUR FIGURES and send each partner 1 body square and 1 legs square (so you will be sending 2 twinchies to each partner). Mailing should be comparable to swapping ATC's. The interpretations of both the Zetti style and Halloween theme are absolutely creator's choice. Feel free to be loose. I know a few people don't care for the Zetti style, but really: whimsical, fun, colorful, a little weird - we'll already be cobbling together body parts - it's pretty easy getting the Zetti look here even if you don't care for the style. The Halloween "feel" can be conveyed many different ways, from tame to downright creepy: Day of the Dead imagery, Gothic (literature) inspirations, classic witches, zombies, vampires, etc. The Nitty-Gritty: create your twinchies using sturdy bases and cut+paste collage techniques. On the back of the twinchies you send to your partners, sign your name & username so they can keep track of what parts came from who. If you have ANY questions, please ask! The inspiration for this swap (and the example twinchies above) came from THIS blog entry by Jennalee of artrageousafternoon. |
