July - The PatriotM2M (month 2 month) Swaps are theme swaps designed to take a little more time and effort for a planned ahead craft. Boxes are suggested to be small to save on post, but full of creative goodies. You will send your partner: 1 small pattern that will use Red White Blue yarn The yarn to complete the project The notions needed, including the hook or needles (your partners preference) Favorite 4th of July Recipe on note card A red, white, and blue decoration, stickers, or magnet Book on American History or that renders our history in a story line (Civil War - A Presidential Bio - Gone With the Wind) Books may be used or from the discount bin but lets make sure they are in really good condition for our new friend Rules: Swappers 4.0 or higher please No no-sends Follow the theme and include ALL items listed Send only new items (notions yarn etc) or items in like new condition Complete profiles are needed Post when sent - Contact friend and hostess Packages must be sent on or before date listed Flickr account and blog preferred Contact your partner and say "Hello" ask them what they like read do craft (crochet knit) If late you must contact partner and hostess Please pass or drop if you think you will not be able to keep up Make sure to say thank you and post pictures if able in Flickr Send a package like you would want to receive Angels are really important in these swaps please let me know if you would like to send a few Just In Case items for anyone who's not received their box. I usually keep a few of these on hand to put an angel box together. I do send thank you gifts to my angles so your random act of kindness is not unnoticed :) Please make sure to chat often as you can with your new swap friend - post on their blog start a conversation and new friendship. One thing I have noticed about swaps - people rarely get to know each other. While each swap includes a list of treats and treasures the goal is to keep this fun and not expensive. Nice items are important but fun packages can be put together with lots of fun items found from discount and dollar store hunting. |
