Description:

A new paper crafting group--hooray! Thanks, Barb, for making me an officer. For our first group swap, I've created a collage postcard challenge which I hope to make a series if there's enough interest. Read on . . .

I love challenges! So . . . let's collage a postcard for one partner. The postcard must measure AT LEAST 4" x 6" but can be as large as you like. Your postcard must contain at least 5 of the 10 elements listed below:

  • washi tape

  • a flower

  • a cat

  • a bird

  • something blue

  • something printed with measurements

  • a rubber stamped image (embossing is fine too)

  • a snail

  • a vintage image

  • tissue paper

Please make certain your beautiful creation can make it safely through the mail without some of your elements being eaten by the postal machines. Washi tape is particularly wishy-washy about sticking! Mod Podge works well for this and the Mod Podge for paper is perfect because it's much "lighter" in texture than the others.

If you choose to use stickers, please limit sticker use to 1 sticker.

On the back of your postcard please tell your partner about your absolute favorite paper craft.

Remember to send on time, rate your partner, and have fun creating!

Is this US only or International?

Hi @Jjean Nancy just brought it to my attention--it's US only! I always miss something! Thanks to you, too, for bringing it to other swappers' attention.

A note about Mod Podge--you might want to use gel medium instead, since when Mod Podge dries, the surface is sticky/tacky.

I noticed the stickiness after I completed my card using the mod podge for paper....then I read the comment section....what I did then was to go over the mod podge with clear nail polish! It worked - took the stickiness away!
