This is week #1

I will post 8 weeks of this swap. Each week you wish to join, you will send your partner a recycled Christmas greeting card front made into a postcard (whatever size you want to make it and use the correct postage for mailing) You will answer a question or do something for your partner on the writing side of the postcard that is listed for each day.

Week #1-write down your swapbot user name, real name, name of swap and the number week it is-you will write one thing on the card you would love to have this christmas and why. It can be anything you ever dreamed of having even tho it might be impossible to get or have OR something money can not buy.

Requirements: 4.9 or higher rating. No recent 1's or 3's allowed within the past 6 months. Newbies with at least 3 good rated swaps are welcome. Everyone MUST have a WELL filled out profile. I have the right to ban anyone who don't meet these requirements. This swap is USA ONLY, sorry.

Hi! I like this idea, but I'm a little confused about what exactly to do. Are we supposed to use the picture on front of the recycled Christmas card or can we cover the entire front of it and make our own design/picture, etc on the front?

@StarryNights ..I'm pretty sure she is wanting us to use the picture on the front of a Christmas greeting card. It is a way to recycle old cards. If you have other questions you may want to PM the host as she would get messages faster than seeing the comments on the swap :)

Thanks @clutterfree

@StarryNights you would use the picture on the front of the recycled christmas card. Like @clutterfree posted its to recycle old cards.

Is the card front the postcard and write on the back and send OR do we glue it onto a postcard?

DixieDiane 10/23/2013 #

@ Sunflower107 The card front is the postcard and you write on the back. I have a rubber stamp that says postcard (that I rec'd from a wonderful friend) and I stamp the back side of the card with that and draw a line down the middle and write on it like you would a postcard. A great way to recycle those used greeting cards and to share a pretty picture. I've gotten so many really pretty cards that I would love to reuse and this is a good way.

@Sunflower107 I think I would depend on how flimsy the card is. I often reinforce them by either gluing them to an old file folder and cutting it down to size or onto watercolor paper. It seems to get through the brutality of the mailing system better that way.
