Description:

A number of newbies have expressed interest in ATCs, so this is one in a series of monthly artist trading card swaps. These swaps will help you learn to construct an ATC with minimal requirements for artistic ability. One card to one partner.

The only two rules about ATCs are:

  1. They must be 2.5 x 3.5 inches in size. (64mm x 89 mm)
  2. They must never be sold, only traded.

Okay, are you ready for the swap requirements?

Don't be scared. :)

  • Cut your card stock to the correct size (see above). If you want to make the card extra sturdy, glue a second piece of card stock to the back. For this swap, your edges should be cut neatly and evenly.
  • Draw, stamp, collage, paint, zentangle, or use another medium of your choice to create a card about friendship. Stickers may be used as an accent but should not be the ONLY element on the card! If you "sticker slap" your ATC, your partner has permission to rate you a 3 for this swap.
  • Turn your card over and write the name of the swap, your name, and the date on the back.
  • Send it off to your partner on time.

Rate promptly and accurately.
Communicate with me and your partner if there are problems.

Is 'friendship' the theme? Or open-themed?

TC 10/26/2013 #

Friendship is the theme. (See second bullet point.)

Heh. I read it twice too! Must have been tired. :)

I'll highlight it. Other people might have missed it, too.

How do you send these cards? Do i put them in a seperate envelope to mail? :)

TC 11/ 6/2013 #

Yes, you put them in an envelope. Some people like to enclose them within a folded card to give them a bit more protection. If your card has a lot of thick embellishments, you might need to wrap it in bubble wrap or tissue paper to protect it.

ATCs are basically miniature works of art. Think of them as a 2.5" x 3.5" canvas.

Thank you :) I'll probably decorate the envelope too! :)
