Description:
Twinchies are miniature art that is 2 inch by 2 inch. They look amazing when put together in a frame. This month of February twinchies must have red and white only except if you outline in black. You can paint them, using any medium, pastels, colored pencils, and any subject as long as the colors are red and white. Use a substantial backing for them or a heavier watercolor paper, measure the strip 8 by 2 inch long, divide in sections of 2 inch and you can leave it that way or cut them into 2 x 2 inch art. Embellish them if you wish but they must have some art work (yours) on it. Newbies welcomed with filled out profile.(not just a line or two) USA only and you do a set of 4 twinchies

The picture above are twinchies and inchies of others who were in swaps 4years ago and I have framed them.

It is OK to leave them uncut at 8X2? So the receiver would cut them? I've made inchies before, but not twichies so just checking.

I would hope not, as part of making a piece of art 2 x 2 is finishing the edges and making borders, but that may be just my opinion.....

It does not make a difference to me if I get one strip or cut into separate pieces as far as this swap goes.
Interesting a collage! Remember to make it a piece of art and must have some medium as I explained on them. @HeideC : If you did inchies and cut them then do the twinchies and cut them, as far as making borders it is up to the sender.

@ladydy5 I'm lurking and have a question..."Interesting a collage! Remember to make it a piece of art and must have some medium as I explained on them." so if we do a collage we have to add paint, pastels or colored pencil? I'm confused as a collage is a piece of art itself. I want to do mine first before committing but want to make sure I am following the guidelines. :)

collages are general a group of several made into one, that is not this swap. if you do a strip 8 x 2 and do not cut it to 2 x 2 that is up to you. i am sure the swapper receiving a strip like that would not have a problem and you can ask her when names are up. if you are saying you will do a painting and cut it 2 x 2 four of them that is acceptable for the swap. this should be ez to understand and not confusing, right? if u never did thse look at the picture above and they must be done in red and white.

Remember to have some artwork on it by you and then you can embellish if you wish.
