Mini Jar of Whimsies

1)Does the jar need to be glass? I have often found interesting plastic jars. They would be lighter in weight for shipping and I wouldn't worry as much about breakage in the mail. 2)Should we decorate the jar itself?

baby food jars are not 5 inches tall. I have a mini jar, that's 3 inches tall that would be perfect,that's about the size of a baby food jar. Would that be acceptable?

Thank you for the questions!!! Yes I think plastic jars would be great and if you would like to decorate the jar itself that would be fine but not required. To the second question, I think the 3 inch baby food jar would be fine but I would not go any smaller then that.

Ok, great! I think the description could use some clarification just because baby food jars are smaller than 5 inches. Anyway, the jar I have is from honey, and is round and really cute, so I can't wait to be assigned!

I've been looking around for a jar, but haven't been able to find a really cute and unique one yet. I may just have to go with a plain ol' jar. That's OK, though, I'll try to make the inside nice and delicious! :o) This is going to be a lot of fun!

I hate that because so much cool stuff comes my way from across the globe and it really connects people in new ways. Oh well. I spent $39 on a small package to the UK and my blood ran cold. This swap looks so fun! I can't wait to get assigned my partner. Whoever gets me as their partner, my favorite color is green... pretty much any green but I do love spring green. I love to quilt and make jewelry, which are perfect for filling jars! I love old buttons that I can make into jewelry, and in case you haven't read my profile, I love cats! Art supplies are wonderful as well... and I've started a collection of cat-themed pottery... hint hint. :) Of course anything I get will be absolutely delightful! THanks!

The fun thing about Whimsies is they can be anything you would like to put in your jar. It can be a mix of craft stuff or a mix of stuff that you think would make a great filler like paper clips or stuff like that. Have fun with it!!!

how do you all plan on mailing your jars? in boxes? i'm not sure what the most efficient way to do it is.

I am going to put mine in a box that just fits the jar and put shreded news paper around it. i think it will make it alright

I guess I should have emailed this a long time ago BUT...if you get me, I love the purple/pink/orange combination...and I love greens, especially lime green. Lately, I've been into altered notebooks, ATCs, and scrapbooking...I like to make jewelry, too. However, I'm sure I'll be thrilled with whatever I get. I'm about to send out my package, now. ☺
