Themes: Love, Christ, Holy Spirit, Sisterhood, Letter Writing, Prayer and Gifties

--Please be sure to read the entire write-up of swap information before signing up.--

In this swap, you will receive a partner whom you will treat as a sister you’ve had all your life. No awkward introduction letters, no report on mundane activities, just a letter drafted as if you’ve known this person all your life and THREE GOODIES.

For this reason, actual content is up to you and the Holy Spirit. But there is a caveat: PRAYER!

Your swap must contain two items from the individuals’ Likes List, plus one Heavenly Mystery Item (Holy Spirit Inspired) and a one page letter (8 ½ x 11 sheet).

Details of what your envelope should contain follow:

Two Items From Their Likes List – Can be any small thing that you think she might enjoy from her list. (Could be a few decorative papers, pens, stickers, paper embellishments, ephemera, bags of tea, any smallish things she has listed on her Likes).

The Heavenly Mystery Item – This is the –creative- part of the swap! Once you receive your partner’s name, you will pray for her for a few minutes and about what your Mystery Item should be. DO THIS BEFORE YOU LOOK AT HER PROFILE – otherwise you might be too influenced. When you receive an impression about what to send, you can either make/purchase whatever your heart and the Holy Spirit are leading you to send. This can be a handmade/assembled/purchased item. (Please try to include WHY you felt led to send that as you prayed.) There is no wrong answer in this; it’s just a creative activity encouraging prayer and edifying/strengthening/uplifting someone else.

The Letter – Letter should be ONE 8 ½ x 11 sheet, written or typed, single or double spaced. Longer if you like, but at least one page. However, the letter should be written as though you’ve known one another a lifetime. Remember, this is your SISTER! For this reason, no typical INTRO type lettersplease (things such as location where you live, job you hold, hobbies, information about family - all of these things would be assumed if you were sisters).

The envelope/bubble mailer can be 6 X 8 or larger. You can be as creative and spoiley as you’d like! Just bless your partner and enjoy yourself.

I have listed this under the heading of “Religious”, because this is meant to be a Christian themed swap. Anyone (including newbies) are welcome to join, as long as there is an understanding that Christian items, focus on the Holy Spirit, Prayer and Christ is part of this swap. If you are new and interested, please PM me.

This swap is Regional Only at this time, however if it goes well - I'll set another one up at another time as International.

I don't think I would be able to do an international one.. maybe do both together? I just did an international type 3, and it cost me $46.00 in shipping alone. I really do love this swap though. I received your prayer this morning, and saved it to see again and again :). I am so excited for morning, or whenever partners are assigned so I can begin to write my letter and get my package together!

Dear God,

Please be with all our sisters (& brothers). Touch their hearts. Lead us all in your way. You know the desires of our hearts. Thank you for giving us this opportunity to grow closer to You & each other. Father, continue to guide Cynthia & bless her for all she is doing to help our walk with You.

Amen

Thanks for the sweet prayer lagemaz! Hope you had a good Monday. I was quite sleepy this morning, and was wishing it was still the weekend. Mondays! :p
