Flat Stanley Visits You!

OK....because I got TWO comments from swappers who would have participated if the return was physical (instead of e-mail), I cancelled the other swap and started this one! Hope this suits everyone's tastes a bit more . . .

There will be 2 parts to this swap, but you'll only be rated on the arrival of your Flat Stanley or Flat Sandy at his/her location. So the second part of the swap will be on the honor system ;+)

Here's what to do:

•create a Flat Stanley or Flat Sandy paper doll. Your doll should measure at least 6" tall and can be "dressed" however you like. Make certain s/he is sturdy enough for the visit.

•mail your creation to your partner.

•when you receive your Flat Stanley/Sandy, you'll have approximately 2 weeks for activities and photo ops with your visitor.

•at the end of the 2-week period, you will mail back your partner's Flat Stanley/Sandy along with photos, a mini-activities journal and perhaps a few souvenirs from his or her weeks with you. Even though your visitor will be with you for 2 weeks, you needn't journal every single day. Just make certain there is at least 1 week's worth of journaling/activities.

When Flat Stanley/Sandy visits, it is not necessary to go anyplace special. S/he could come with you to a restaurant, take a nature hike, feed the birds, create an ATC in your craft studio, pet your cat or dog, go to a movie, watch TV, go swimming--anything you normally do--just take Stanley/Sandy along!

Because the second half of this swap (the mail-back) is on the honor system, I'm requiring that participants have a minimum 4.95 rating, be rated for 20 Type 3 swaps, be recently active, and have no '1' ratings in the last year.

You are free to make this swap as simple or elaborate as you like. Obviously, it's fun for your partner if you put some effort into it. Have fun creating your doll and making plans/taking pictures with your visitor!
