Description:

THIS IS THE INTERNATIONAL version. If you live in the US/ Canada and are worried about postage, the same swap is available, for you with the same themes.

If postage is not an issue -- Sign up for both!!

If you're into rubber stamping even a lil bit, you know they can be pretty expensive. Soooo, why not trade stamped images with one another and to put a twist on that, make it into a scavenger hunt??

Find and stamp ONE RUBBER STAMPED image, 5 times on a neautral (white, cream, brown, etc) cardstock, in black or brown ink, for each of the follow categories...

  • a single flower
  • can be eaten
  • words only
  • anything to do with summer or the beach
  • anything with wings

Make sure your images are stamped completely, cleanly and neatly. Allow an inch around the edge of your stamped images and leave them just ink on paper (no embossing or coloring the images). This will allow your partner to "use as they choose". Please, no tiny or 1 in. stamps, unless you include those as extras!!

Just one partner. Please have at least a 4.7 and no, no-sends w/in the last 3 mos. If more than 20 sign up, this may become a monthly swap, w/ different themes to "hunt" for....

This is a swap you could already start stamping for now, since its not partner or profile specific. If you want to wait, finding images that match your partner AND the list above, just might earn you a heart (maybe their fave flower or thing with wings?), as well as sending more images than required or more than one image, per theme. Extras are extra and not required for a good rating, just hearts.

As long as you receive 25 images (5 each of 5 stamps), in a timely manner, a 5 should be recvd. If you don't like or can't find use of the images you receive, send them to someone who can or as an extra in another swap!!!

Keep in mind some of us have more variety or quanity in our collections of rubber stamps than others, and thats okay!! This is all about sharing what you have without your partner having to spend the money for the whole stamp.

Ps. If possible u may want to include the name of the company the stamp is from or any other identifing info, so if your partner REALLY loves it they might be able to track down and make a purchase!! This is also not required and would be considered extra. (ex: H196 "Bee-bop Bouquet" 2006 by Stampendous!)

I have some great rubber stamps and I would love to take part in this, but I just signed up today, so I have no rating. Can someone steer me in the right direction?? thanks a bunch, Annie

If you dont feel you have time (3 wks) to get rated on any "newbie" swaps, contact me. I'll swap with you one on one. At least look where is says "Find a swap" and join a few, there are some quick ones for boosting your ratings or for new people to get some swaps under their wings, allowing them to be able to join in more swaps. If you are unable to do so. I was a new person (newbie) not that long ago and would be glad to do this one privately w/ u (there is a way to set up up so we both can get rated) and maybe you'll be an ol pro by the next round of this but with different themes. Let me know.

Can we put them on sticker paper?

havehope76 07/ 4/2008 #

MissU, I would wait until you have your partner and see if they would prefer you put them on sticker paper or cardstock?? It may depend on how they intend to use them. Or include any "extras" on sticker paper. The swap is specific for them to be on cardstock.

I love this swap idea but don't have a "can be eaten" stamp ~ have can be drunk though!!

I hope you host more of these stamped image swaps :-)

havehope76 07/ 6/2008 #

Personally, I wouldnt mind a "can be drunk" instead of "eaten" stamp. If you want to do this one 1 on 1 w/ me, I'm game. I do have other lists planned soon and will be creating them as swaps within the next few days.

If sending to the US I will try to send all or almost all New Zealand make stamps that way they should be "new" for my partner.

Food or Drink is OK with me if aifromourpatch is sending to me. Well after all drink is food is it not, well hot chocolate and red wine is! :-)

What size card do you have in mind?

What size card do you have in mind?

havehope76 07/14/2008 #

I assume that by card you mean the size of the cardstock the stamped image will be on. That really depends on the size of the images. I just stamped out some of mine on 4x6 cardstock and the images I used, fit 2 on ea. Im not going to be a stickler on the one inch all the way around rule either as long as they are able to be cut out and used, being stamped clearly and completely w/o smudge, is more important. I just dont want to ruin an image by them being stamped too close together. Hope that helps.

havehope76 07/14/2008 #

opps, 4x6 is in inches... "post card" size. Most of the images I recieve back will be used on ATCs and greeting cards, so my mind is thinking along those lines, for the size of the image.
