Return rider?

  • Complete the next page in the last zine you received and pass on!
  • Just added the last page to a zine? Send it back to it's owner! Now you can start a new zine or check the forums to see if someone has an extra that needs extra contributors.

If at any time you lose interest or choose not to participate, please contact me so that the zines can continue to circulate! Good communication will continue to make these swaps successful!

New riders welcome!

Mini zines are small, self-published pieces of work. For this collaborative project you will design the cover, pass it on, and six others will join in!

Please do the following:

  1. For your first swap you will prepare one mini zine (see tutorial).

  2. Choose a theme and design the front and back covers for your zine. -- On the back cover you may choose to leave space for each contributor to sign. Just make it clear by design or in your description note that this is what you want. (It should not be left blank.)

  3. Include your mailing address and a short note describing your theme or anything related to the zine that you would like your partner to know. This will be included with your zine as it is passed on.

Once all of the inside pages have been filled, your zine will be sent back to you! Be sure that your return mailing address is printed clearly on the zine or in a note accompanying the zine.

Be aware that you are committing to send a completed zine back to it's owner by participating swaps.

Additional notes:

  • If you choose to jump on the zine-go-round, realize that it will take six rounds to complete your zine!

  • You are expected to continue participating in swaps during the rotation of your zine. That's part of the fun of a collaborative project1

  • First time making a mini zine? Check out this awesome tutorial!

  • Zines may be sent flat or folded (the latter will save you on postage).

  • E-mails will be sent to keep members updated when new rounds are created.

  • Participants are expected to post on the forum as zines are sent and received.

I currently have Rngstgstll's Scrap-Piece-Peace zine

the last one i received was my own. It has one more open page in it and i've already done one of the pages. I was thinking of having my son finish it up rather than sending it around again.
