Description:

World Post Day is celebrated annually on October 9th, to honor the role that the postal service plays in our lives. And we Swap-botters are all about the postal service!

For this swap, you will:

  • Decorate the front of an envelope with art that relates to the theme of mail. (Your base envelope can be created by you or pre-made.) Your art might include images of stamps, mailboxes, pens, postmarks, etc. Art medium is sender's choice. Draw, paint, stamp, college, but NO STICKERS. Washi tape can be used as an accent to your other art. Decorating the back of the envelope is optional.
  • Write a letter to your partner that describes how you receive your mail. Where's your mail box; what does it look like? When do you get your mail? When do you open your mail? Who's your postal delivery person? What kind of mail makes you happiest? What other happy mail do you receive besides swaps? Your letter should be descriptive enough that it gives your partner a clear mental picture of you happily receiving your mail. :) Letter can be typed or hand-written.

Mail ON TIME. This is part of the swap requirements, and your partner can rate you a 3 if you send late.

Rate your partner promptly and accurately.

Communicate if there are problems.

Is the letter to be sent in the decorated envelope? Or the envelope and the letter together in another envelope?

Can we use stickers as part of our art?

TC 10/ 8/2014 #

Send the letter in the decorated envelope.

As the swap description states, please do not use stickers.

Newberlin 10/12/2014 #

Ok, I didn't use stickers, except an Airmail sticker but I guess that is ok, as they might be helpful to get the mail travel faster. :)

OK; thank you!
