for this swap, everyone will create two atcs inspired by a traditional japanese haiku. a collection of haiku can be found here: http://www.toyomasu.com/haiku/

some guidelines for this swap.

  • each person has two partners to whom they will send one atc each.

  • write out the haiku that inspired the atc on the back of the card. the atc itself should not contain the words of the haiku.

  • both atcs should be hand-made by you - no digital images, please.

  • send your atcs no later than february 10.

Hi, would it be ok to use our own haikus that we have either written ourselves, or have seen somewhere else? Or do they have to be from a specific list? Thanks.

Since no one else has answered you, i would say in my opinion, an original haiku would be wonderful. Also, my swaps will go out monday to bobosgirl and murmel. best, Dianne

yes, original haiku is fine, especially if it has a 'traditional' feeling/theme to it :)
