Description:

Each time I visit a thrift store I always try to hit the children's book section--there are so many BEAUTIFUL illustrations in children's books and many of the thrift stores charge less than 50 cents for them!

So . . . for this swap . . . . let's create a handcrafted postcard for our partner using a children's book illustration as the subject.

On the back of the card you create please write which book you took the illustration from and the publication date of the book, as well as a quote about reading.

Requirements:

  • 1 postcard to 1 partner

  • postcard should measure between 4"x6" and 5"x7"

  • postcard should feature a children's book illustration as the focal point

  • you may add as many other embellishments as you like

  • write name of book/publication date/reading quote on back of card

When all that's done, stamp and send!

Note: any card larger than 4"x6" will need first class postage instead of postcard postage

Can they be hand drawn? I'm thinking of a Dr. Seuss illustration, for instance.
