'My Friend' Doll clothes swap

My two Jenny dolls like to wear more modern clothes, clean lines and lots of fun accessories like tights and jewelry. Think bright colors, polka dots and holiday-themed gear. They like jumpers, jeans, t-shirts, and 50s-60s style dresses. I tend to stay away from lace, overly elaborate dresses and "childish" things like teddy bears and tea sets.

My Jenny would really love a pair of denim jeans (not bell-bottoms)and a pair of canvas sneakers, but she likes the classic style to modern - but not far out - stuff. She doesn't go for vintage costumes. She doesn't really need any fancy, formal-type stuff as she is a stay at home girl, a little tomboyish maybe, but she does like dresses too as well as t-shirts, vests, blouses, jumpers. Her favorite color is blue, but she likes most colors other than yellow, orange and brown. She could use some tights. She likes to read, and color, play jump rope, jacks and play on the swings. Her clothes are kept in a nice decorated box so she can't use hangers. All in all, she would be thrilled to get something new as she hasn't gotten anything new for years. She has been sort of neglected for the fancy fashion dolls. I'd rather not be limited to something strickly for a holiday as that won't get as much use. We're moving back to a warmer climate so she won't need a coat, etc. I think you now know more about my Jenny than I did.

I have all the Fisher Price My Friend Dolls. I got them for my daughter when she was a child and I made her and Mandy matching outfits. When my daughter outgrew her dolls, she passed them to me. What could be better than a happy doll who can be tossed into the washing machine! As I have a doll clothes business, www.dollsecrets.com, my own dolls get sorely neglected so most of them are wearing 20 year old outfits. The would be happy with anything at all. Wendy

I\'ll simplify my intro to say I\'ve had My Friends since before I can remember , shared them with my first daughter but she was more into the same size Miss Piggy, so I ended up with her Mandy and My Jenny. She is now 39 and I\'m raising her daughter who is now 12 and she(Natalie loves ALL dolls). Before Natalie came along, I had to have all the friends but couldn\'t find Nicky for for a long time. Since Natalie is biracial with short soft curls, we HAD to find Nicky for us both to love. We now have LOADS of My Friends but only one of each and a Jenny with short hair cut like my Amy\'s who is typically nude in her toy box(bassinet). We are not picky but we aren\'t really a fru fru type family. I\'m tickled to be doing my second swap EVER. God Bless, Jean
