Why is this a SEWING swap?

Should the recipes be printed on recipe cards, or can they be sent in any format?

Baking cookies is one of my favorite activities at Christmas which is a wonderful time of year for me. My mother made Christmas special for everyone and now that she's gone, I'm trying to keep up her traditions.

And I collect cookie cutters, the weirder the shape the better. I have a few really old cutters too.

This is one of the best things of Christmas! The smell and flavors if holiday cookies! And to be able to make a recipe card to go with them - how fun!

I want to join this swap, but I never use recipe cards, but I'd be willing to make them for a partner--can it be a partner preference thing?

I keep my recipes in a binder, so if it's not inconvenient for my partner, I'd prefer to have my recipes on a full sheet of paper, but cards would be fine, too.

Becky, me too, I love cookie cutters, vintage cookies are always a treasure to find. My friend recently bought me a stunning dragonfly.. I squealed with delight. I am going to love this swap!

I miss all of the cooking baking and candy making I used to do with my grandmother. I love the thought of getting to share our recipes. I also have a binder for my recipes. That way I can take the page out and use it and they don't get dirty like all of my cards.

I would re-type and put the recipes in my book, so just send them any which way you want! This way I can use larger print for easier reading along with a sheet protector! Thank you!

I agree with those of you who place your recipes in a binder. My group that I swap recipes with all use an 8 x 8 albums and some use an 8 1/2 x 11 album for ease of reading too. I am happy to accomodate whatever my partner would like. They are all great!

I dont mind the format of the cookie recipes I receive ...some are to long to fit onto recipe cards if you include a picture, and if hand written several times mightbe easier to miss a step:) Love the metal cookie cutters the best but still like all in general.

Id love for them to be on a 8 1/2 x 11 size, but really, it doesnt matter to me! So Im leaving it up to my partner. :)

I got two international (Australian) partners. Since I am a newbie, I do not know if additional postage is required?

NMCreatrix, go here to calculate international postage or here to see letter postage. For a 1 ounce letter (and 3 recipes, cards or on 8.5 x 11 paper, are probably under 1 ounce) you will need a 94c stamp. If you don't have a kitchen or postage scale and you're not sure about the weight, go in to the post office and have them weigh it.

Will most of you be sending along cookie cutters?
