YES! A Round postcard!

I talked to the mailman and he said 6" round would be a regular first class stamp with no surcharge. Let's do it! I've never made one but I've received one before. They're very cool.

Let's have the theme of the card be Senders Choice. You could play off the shape like a mandala or zentangle, make it vintage themed, zetti, collage, paint, it's up to you! Just make it round :)

The usuals:

  • Heavy cardstock (think: about cereal box weight) Larger is ok if that works better for you but postage will be more.

  • Any medium, any theme

  • Naked mailing - I'd like to keep it inexpensive but if you are afraid to send your particular card on it's own, an envelope is ok.

  • 1 partner

International is ok (still just $1.15 in us stamps)

Hm, I think it might need the non-machinable surcharge...

That's if you get a domestic address in the US

That's what I thought, the additional 21 cents. I was told no, just a regular (not postcard) stamp. I will probably add it to mine just in case so it doesn't get held up.

Every post office is different - I'd do the first class stamp with the surcharge stamp! Awesome swap!

Every post office seems to understand the rules differently - I'd do the first class stamp with the surcharge stamp! Awesome swap!

Is it OK for this circular card base to be made of something besides cardstock or other paper? I'm thinking of a type of plastic I've used for no-paper handmade postcard swaps...

I think as long as it would hold up to being mailed naked, it should be fine :)
