Description:

Last year I hosted this swap and it was well recieved and people highly enjoyed it. So I thought I would run it again. Plus it helps me spring clean my stash of Japanese stuff as well :)

This swap is for anyone who is for anyone who loves Japan and Japanese culture. Fill an envelope or small box with at least 5 items that are Japanese related. These items could be anything: food, craft items, stationary, etc.

The items can be Kawaii or Anime related as well as long as you read profiles to see if your partner enjoys these items. Please don't send Kawaii or Anime stuff if your partner does not like it.

Please make sure the items are a $10 value before sending.

I will be checking profiles. Please no newbies. Please have at least 5 type 3 ratings. No recent or unresolved 1s and I will check on 3s.

To keep down postage costs, I am keeping this USA but anyone who wishes to host an international version is welcome to do so.

The swap category says "Kawaii", but your description says do not send kawaii if your partner doesn't like it...just a suggestion, maybe split this into two swaps? One for kawaii and one for cultural or traditional items? Some of us only collect one or the other, and it would be difficult to improvise if our partner does not like whichever one that is. :)

I agree with GrrMeoww this might be cool as 2 diff swaps. I only collect kawaii cute/creepy things. I don't have anything anime. So if my partner only likes Anime I would have to go out and try to buy things.

The swap is meant to be about Japan as a whole. Only Japanese items are required. If you happen to get a partner who likes kawaii or likes anime you can throw them since they are technically part of Japanese cullture.

The only purpose of the phrase about anime/kawaii is to prevent someone from sending those items to people uninterested in them. Its not to say that if your partner likes anime that you HAVE to send them anime items. You should then only send them what you have for Japanese items. For example, I collect all three type of items. If I were to get a partner that likes anime I can throw one or two items in for them. And the same goes for kawaii items. Think of kawaii/anime as optional. Focus on just the Japanese culture items as the main swap.

Sorry for any confusion.
