NH: Mail Art Postcard

Mail art is just art that is sent, visibly, through the postal system. For the purposes of this swap, our art will be on an postcard.

1. You can begin with a pre-produced postcard, or cut one yourself from card stock. Your card should be no smaller than 4" x 6" (10.16 cm x 15.24 cm).

2. On the front (picture) side of the card, create your art. You may collage, paint, draw, zentangle, stamp, sew, etc. Stickers may be used as a small element, but should not be the focal point of the card. Theme and colors are sender's choice, but please be respectful of your partner's dislikes.

3. Be sure all elements are securely adhered and will not come off in postal machines.

4. On the back, write your partner's address, and include a brief note about what inspired you to make your art.

5. Don't forget to include the swap name and your user name.

6. Adhere adequate postage and mail naked (not in an envelope).

7. Send on time. This is one of the swap requirements, and you can be rated a 3 if you send late.

8. Rate your partner promptly and accurately. Rating is just as important as sending.

9. Communicate if there are problems, and please keep me, the host, informed.
