Description:

Let's make a small decorated tag book!

You will have 3 partners and you will make 5 decorated tags for each, a total of 15 tags to make.

Again, I got this idea from a magazine, and thought it would make fun swap.

You can use any kind of taf, shipping tags or die cut, as long as they are not the teeny tiny ones!

You can draw, collage, doodle or whatever you want to decorate your tags. I do ask that you do put some kind of fibers as a tassle of sorts through the hole at the top of the tag, and that you put at least your name and location on the back. I will make an example and upload a picture asap.

When we get all our tags, we can place them on a large binder ring to make a sort of tag book, or you can display them how you like!

Please only sign up if you are serious about completing it it.

Let's have some fun making tag art!

Sarah, I will try to make one asap so you can see... you can also ggogle art tags, and you might find something... I know that on Lisa Vollrath's Go Make Something, she has what she calls "torso tags, and they are gorgeous! she even has printable patterns to make the tags. let me give you a quick run down of what they are... you take a shipping tag, then glue scraps of paper on it some ephemera, old or new, some buttons or charms if you want, then you tie some pretty fibers or fancy yarn thru the hole at the top. Any questions, feel free to message me. susi

The picture is not the best, but it gives at least an idea of what art tags are, and how they look. I made a ton of tags to make tag neclaces for the lady friend in my life, and they loved them! And I still have many left over, they are cute, but not very detailed.

I make the torso tags today to use as ATC dolls, and they came out very nice! Tomorrow I am going to make moe but as tags not as dolls!

I just got a new tag shaped die cutter for my birthday but I am not sure if they are too small. It is the "giga" punch - about 2 inches by 4 inches - does that work?

Susi 02/12/2007 #

sure it will, as long as its not super tiny, i'm cool with pretty much anything

HI Susi, This is my first swap with Swap Bot. Can you tell me how we are going to receive our partners? Thanks Much

Lynda

Lynda, Looks like you got your answer already, I recieved your wonderful tags today! The only thing is that you did not put your name and location on the back, but for being a 1st time swap botter, that is no big deal! Remind me to rate you when that time comes! i tend to forget! susi

I mailed my tag sets today. I apologize for the delay--we had an ice storm over the weekend and I was unable to get to the Post office.
