Another out of the ordinary 9 little pockets. You will need a graphic large enough to fill the complete pocket page. (Many scrapbook paper companies make fantastic double sided card stock pages perfect for this.) Or you can create a master sheet of your own. For the example above I used a Graphic45 design. Instead of cutting your cards ATC size you will cut them to fill your pockets. My dimensions for the one shown are 2 5/8 x 3 5/8 for the top 3 pockets and the other 6 were cut 2 5/8 x 3 3/4. Some pocket pages vary so be sure and check. The easiest way is to lay the empty pocket on your graphic and note where the center lies. We want this to look as much like the original as possible so no large gaps and no trimmed areas between pockets. Make sure the back is not just blank. It is easiest if you use a brand name card stock with designs front and back but if you created your own please take the time to add a little pizzazz to the back. To decorate use stickers, tape, ribbons, paperclips, etc....anything fastened to the outside of the pockets. There is no need to decorate the actual card in the pocket. Because we are decorating outside the pockets, mailing flat in a large envelope is advised. You may tuck goodies in the back but it is not required. Please be sure to include at least a small card or letter with your name and swap information. (For my previous one of these, I added the goodies in a smaller envelope alongside the pocket page. Just a suggestion.) I reserve the right to excuse anyone that may alter the success of this swap or spoil the fun of the participants Our members seem open minded enough to enjoy learning about other traditions so if you do not celebrate Christmas and want to participate I have no reservations against you making a Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or other holiday pocket but PLEASE check with your partner first. Please be prepared to do a Christmas 9 LP if they insist. |
