a handful of zentangle postcards

I am so into zentangling...I do it, I teach it, it finds it's way into the backgound..and foreground of much of what I do.....but it always has even before I found out that they had named it "zentangling!" Pattern, repetition, variety, rhythm.

I've taught line and pattern for years to elementary school and really give kudos to the www.zentangle.com site for formalizing further these ideas and reinvigorating me with ideas for zentangling. Check out their website if you would like more information about the art matter. I am collecting variations of zentangle to put in a portfolio to show my kids I teach in elementary school. Anyone else want to collect little masterpieces of art through the mail?

Make 5 zentangled masterpieces of art. Send one to each of your partners. so we get 5 slants on zentangle.

Rules: 1)so it's got to be a handmade postcard.

2) You should come up with at least ONE? new pattern that you haven't learned from anyone else.

3)Color? If you like. I usually do black ink on white...but I am interested in seeing how others do color if you choose.

4) postcards should be at least 4" X 6"

5) you must have a 4.9 or better rating with no unexplained good excuse "1"'s.

6) you must have at least 3 art swaps under your belt..not just bought postcards or eswaps.

7) You should write your thoughts about your tangle or your meditation you were thinking on while creating....in your message.

8) you must have great fun and peace doing these!!!!!

I am also posting a zentangle atc swap. I'm pushing atc's for my kids so that they have an art portfolio of other's art by the end of year through swapping. lead by example I believe.
