What do you mean by "remember this are different amounts of stamps" (second line of description)?

I have the same question as @tsireldi

a 1 st class is .49 cents and the next stamp you stamp is .71 and then the next stamp is international price is I think is 1.10 and so on depending on what you send .if you would like the exact amounts , I can get those from post office tomm

I'm confused.... Is this swap to use one stamp Only? Because you're talking about other stamp prices.. so, I'm not sure if we're supposed to go over an ounce, (more than one stamp) or try to keep the envelope at one 49 cent stamp.

For what it's worth, here's what I found on postage rates and corresponding stamps:

As of 2/7/16, usps.com indicates first class single stamps available in the following denominations: $0.49, $0.71, $0.93. The site also has available single stamps in denominations of $1, $2, $5, and $10.

First class postage rates for LETTER sized envelopes: $0.49 -- up to 1 oz. $0.71 -- up to 1 oz. SQUARE envelopes $0.71 -- up to 2 oz. $0.93 -- up to 3 oz.

LARGE FLAT envelope rates do not have corresponding single stamps (at least not that I could find), so for this challenge it looks like we'd have to purchase the next higher priced stamp. For example, a 1 oz. large envelope costs $0.98 to mail. There is no $0.98 stamp, so this challenge would require a $1 stamp to mail. Over 1 oz. and up to 5 oz. would require a $2 stamp, etc.

*Note: Each rate has specific size requirements. "Lumpy" envelopes, thick envelopes, etc. may not qualify for the "standard" price and may require the next higher priced stamp.

Yes you use 1 stamp only it is a challenge

Ok what I have found out today about stamp amounts is : 1oz is .49 and 2 oz is .71 and 3 oz is .93 and 4oz is $1.15 So if you get your items weighed ask for a stamp is close to your weight of mail if it over 1oz but under 3 oz you put .71 stamp and if it's over 2 oz but under 4 oz you would put 3 oz stamp if you post office carries those stamps in my case my post office don't normally carry 3 oz stamp so I would have to send 2 oz or 4oz envelope if I choose to send more than 1 oz which I usually do but not required

Remember this a challenge swap 1 stamp only , doesn't have to be expensive , use your own stash refer to examples in description in swap ! Challenge yourself! Use regular size envelope and add small things go to post office and have it weighted and put one stamp on package closest to cost of postage if you have to take out a few things or add some 1 oz is.49. 2 oz is .71 3 oz .93 4 oz is $1.15 Please challenge yourself !
