The little known tradition of filling envelopes with slippers! We're gong to keep this super light and fluffy (hyuckhyuck). This swap will be a sister-swap to the St Nicholas' Day Sock Swap, hosted by the lovely KnitterofHats (Big round of applause for her for having such a great idea!!) For this swap, we will be creating one pair of slipper socks with worsted weight yarn. Fill them with goodies like St. Nick would (Little presents, sweets, nuts) and mail it off to your partner. How complex these will be is Sender's Choice, that is, dependent on what you are comfortable making with your skill level. Make sure that any goodies you include are not perishable, and that your partner is not allergic to them. Try to mail these with enough time that they arrive by December 6th, but not too early that your partner gets antsy! To review: One pair of worsted weight slipper socks with some goodies, all wrapped up to be torn open December 6th. If you need to keep postage low for shipping internationally, stick to flat goodies that your partner would enjoy. When you hit that magic "Join Swap" Button, please comment below with the following:
An example: US Women's 10, earthy colors, machine wash OR UK 5, neon brights, acrylic only please. When you are ready to start working your slipper socks, check for your partner's preferences and make them a gift they are sure to enjoy! If you have any questions or any problems arise, please contact your host and your partner as soon as possible! I will be able to angel if you give me some warning. Please do your best work, something that you would be proud to send or receive. And most importantly -- Have fun!! |
