Description:

For our first Stash Squad swap (yay) send your partner 10 different pieces of original ephemera. Ephemera is commonly defined as: "items of collectible memorabilia, typically written or printed ones, that were originally expected to have only short-term usefulness or popularity." I tend to simplify that into a craft-related scope: any printed matter not originally designed/intended as art materials.

Examples of ephemera include (but are not limited to):

tally sheets • play money • lotto tickets • brochures • business cards • raffle tickets • bus passes • library catalog cards • book pages • maps • newspaper clippings • ledger sheets • bingo cards • flash cards • used postage • ad cards • luggage tags • Airmail labels • found photos • found letters • inventory tags • playing cards • library book cards • sheet music • matchbox labels • calling cards • menus • cigar labels • greeting cards • postcards • paper dolls

â–¶ For our purposes here, reproduction ephemera (no matter how good it looks) and printed scrapbook type supplies are not acceptable. Items are ultimately sender's choice as far as theme, imagery, colors are concerned. You can send vintage or newer ephemeral items.

â–¶ Send your 10 different items to your partner along with a note referencing the swap and your username.

Host note: any member eligible to be in this group is eligible to be in this swap, HOWEVER, if you have any unsent swaps on your dash when I assign partners, you will be dropped without warning.

Any questions, just ask!

Is it ok to send ephemera that has been altered? For example I have an awesome octopus shaped punch that I like to use to punch out of book pages, etc. and I have circles that I've cut from some great wrapping paper. Would these be ok?

Yep! Punched ephemera is great.

awesome! Thanks :)

I am not joining this swap (since I don't want more ephemera), but if it would be permissible to get addresses, I would like to send one to everyone in this swap.
