PW ✝Bible Journaling✝ The Lord's Prayer

The Lord's Prayer was given to us by Jesus, showing us how to pray. But because we say this prayer so very often, it's easy to get into a rhythm of saying the words without really concentrating on their meaning.

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Jesus says this in Matthew 6:7.

Have you turned the Lord's Prayer into just vain repetitious speaking? Are you really focused on what you are praying?

What do these words mean? What do you think about them?

For this swap, you will:

1. Deconstruct the Lords's Prayer. This means to specifically write out what The Lord's Prayer (Matthew 9-13) means AND include your thoughts about these verses. Paper type is senders choice.
2. Print out one of the following sheets: NIV or KJV.
3. Take this sheet and create bible art. See samples HERE and send with your completed deconstruction. Bible art is senders choice.
4. Include a note or tag with the A) Swap Name B) Your Name C) Swap-bot Name

All members of the group are invited and encouraged to participate.

I will open a forum post for us to upload our deconstruction and bible art for those who chose to share. I want to stress that bible art/journaling is not about the "artistic" outcome but about the entire spiritual process.

Do not make your partner wait to be rated. It's really not very thoughtful of your partner's feelings or respectful of the time they put into sending you something nice.
