International!

Newbie friendly!

One partner, one ATC!

Ok, just a simple ATC swap for everyone to join. Just make one ATC for your one partner with a christmas theme done in Sharpies (or similar markers). Feel free to embellish use patterned papers, etc. as long as at least 50% is done using Sharpies.

Like I've mentioned the media to be used is Sharpies or similar markers but please do not use crappy, dried up felt tips that look streaky!!! What's most important is you make something you would be more than happy to receive.

Newbies to have filled out profiles.

No 1 ratings within the last 3 months (thats anytime after 15th July).

Must have an overall rating of 4.8 and above.

If anyone does not meet these requirements by the sign-up date you will be banned. I will not contact you before hand as it will just waste time and it's not fair on other participants. You know the requirements, if you do not meet them then you shouldn't sign up.

Do Sharpies come in flesh tones? I keep meaning to check them out when I go to the craft store.

To be honest I have no idea blackeyedsusan! I have only just found a pack of twelve the other day and they didn't have a fleshy tone in, but I doubt I'd find it here in the UK even if there was one.

I did find this on Ebay though and there looks likes there's a peachy and pinky tone avaliable but I'm not sure how widely avaliable, or how close to flesh they are!

I've resorted to using watercolour when doing a Sharpie drawings that require flesh tone.

yea theres one that looks kind of like a pastel orange (it comes with the pastel looking sharpies pink, green, blue purple and the orange) and its pretty close to peach on paper (: thats what i use for my flesh tones when i use sharpie anyway..

There are two orange-y pastel-colored ones -- one named "peach" and another named "tangerine." There's also, of course, brown, and there's one called "almond" that's sort of a medium-toned tannish color. That one's somewhat difficult to find. I started seeing that one about two summers ago, packaged with colors named "blue ice," "pink lemonade," "kiwi" and "boysenberry."

There are also some "wood tones," I think they're called, that are sold in packs of three -- a dark brown, a medium-brown and a light-brown. I've seen those in hardware stores more than I've seen them anywhere else. I think they're sold primarily for purposes of doing minor touch-ups to scratched wooden floors, furniture, etc.

Thanks everyone. I'll probably sign up at the last minute. I haven't used Sharpies except on Shrinky Dinks. I'm definitely a newbie to Sharpies and I don't want to disappoint anyone. It sounds like fun and I like to try new techniques.
