Description:

I don’t know about you but I can’t wait for Christmas time to come. So I’ve decided to do a bunch of Christmas related activities during July, like trying out new cookie recipes, making my Christmas postcards (that I’ll be sending out during October), buying some Christmas goodies in Aliexpress (they take so long to arrive I better start now!) and Christmas books in Book Depository, and I thought “why not hosting a Christmas swap too?”.

We won't be exchanging presents, we’ll be exchanging Christmas ideas, tips, recipes, hacks and anything worth sharing. Here’s how it works.

You’ll have one partner, to whom you’ll send the following:

  • A letter telling your partner how you celebrate Christmas and how you prepare for it. Share your own traditions, talk about your country’s traditions if you’d like, explain how you get ready for Christmas. When do you start buying presents? Are you into online shopping, visiting stores, hand making your own presents? Got any favorite Christmas books, playlists, movies? Share the titles, links, everything! Got a stocking stuffers list with ideas? Please share as much as you can, be as detailed as possible. The idea is not only sharing about your Christmas, but inspiring your partner and perhaps enlightening her with a few ideas to try, or hacks to make life easier.

  • 2 Christmas recipes. You can send something very Christmassy, or something you usually have for Christmas, or something traditional from your country. Think cookies, desserts, drinks, main courses, appetizers, etc. Please take a look at your partner’s profile and send recipes with ingredients she can eat (or replace).

  • 1 small flat Christmas surprise. Some ideas: a postcard, card, some washi tape samples (at least 5 samples, 12 inch / 30 centimeters each), tags, stickers, die cuts, etc. You can send something store-bought or (nicely) handmade. This is sender’s choice.

Feel free to decorate your envelope in a Christmas theme, or any other theme (this is optional) and don’t forget to share your username and swap name so your partner can rate you. This is a small swap, so you should be able to mail it with simple postage.

Requirements:

No newbies allowed. People with a 4.95 rating and at least 40 rated type 2 and 3 swaps (in total). Rated, not sent. No recent or unexplained 1's and 3's.

Please rate your partner promptly and don’t join if you won’t be able to put a little time and care into this swap. I’ll angel if anyone flakes, but I’ll be very cautious with the people I let in, so I’m confident we won’t have any problems.

If you have any questions or doubts, please don’t hesitate to contact me or add a comment in this swap.

Happy swapping!

Hello, I got really excited when I saw this swap because I love Christmas! It would have been fun to join and share my love of the holiday with someone and recipes, etc. Since I am still too new, I guess I'm considered a risk? That's ok. I will hopefully have enough ratings to join next time.

Hey there @laterdayze I'm sorry you can't join, but I'm sure you'll be able to next time. The reason I try to be strict with my requirements is because there's lots of flakers, so I try to be careful. But feel free to join next time, when you meet the requirements :)
