Send one Pass and Paste postcard to one partner. A Pass and Paste PC is one in which each sender is responsible for creating a piece of mail art in a single section of the PC. You can join in at any time by starting a pass and paste postcard, or by sending on one that you have received from an earlier round, or another swap-bot pass and paste PC swap. Please keep in mind when adding a PC from another source, the general requirements for mail art for this group. Also, please note the difference between a Pass and Paste PC, and a Collaboration PC. For a protocol refresher, read on. You are responsible for clearing up any questions before joining. To start a Pass and Paste PC, divide the PC into 4 equal sections. Use a sturdy material for the base. You then label each section 1 -4, and create your mail art in one section. Turn the PC over and address the postcard to yourself. Divide the left side into 4 writing areas and label them 1-4. Each artist should leave a brief note, at minimum user name, in the section which corresponds to the one worked on. Mail the postcard , in an envelope, to your partner. Each round, complete one section on the PC received in the previous round, until all sections are full. When all the sections are complete, the final mail artist is to mail it naked back to its home. You can create in any medium, but adhere any items securely, as these will eventually be mailed naked. Do not send it home or naked until all the sections are complete. If you receive an unfinished Pass and Paste PC, please always send it on, even if you decide not to participate any longer. Message me, the host, if you decide not to play anymore so that the PC does not drop from circulation. Don't forward a postcard to its originator until it is complete and you are sending it home. If you are assigned the originator as a partner, start a new PC. If you will be sitting out more than a couple of rounds, and have unfinished PCs, please send them to me so that they will remain in circulation. I don’t set minimum ratings but I do look at profiles, histories, outstanding swaps and the like. I don’t research explanations or excuses, if one is due offer it before I have an opportunity to ban you. I will angel, but it stinks for a collaborative effort to drop out of play. |
