Description:

In an effort to get a few more folks for this swap, I've edited the mandatory number of tapes you need to send to 7 (instead of 9). It's now optional if you want to send one for each letter.

Do you love a fun challenge and especially one that involves washi tape? If yes, come on out and play with me.

We will be spelling the word B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L using different washi tapes. Edited: There will be a total of 7 different washi tape samples that you will be sending your partner. You get to choose which 7 of the letters in the word BEAUTIFUL to want to give a tape sample for. As I mentioned above, if you have enough tapes to represent each of the 9 letters, that's great, but if you only receive 7 from your partner, they've satisfied the swap. How you represent each letter is up to you. Below are a few examples to get your mind working.

  • B = Butterflies, balloons, blue, birds...
  • I = Ink (pens), ice cream...
  • F = Flowers, frogs...

Hopefully you get the idea. Some will be obvious, but some you may have to get a little creative with, such as "U". It's doable (think umbrellas, underwater creatures...) Any themes may be used (colors, patterns, animals, foods, words, etc. - it's all good), with one exception: no holiday tapes. [If you need more help with words, consult Google.]

Other important details: 18 inches per each sample and no plastic, duct, glitter, or Dollar store-type sticker tapes allowed.

Please include a note that shows how you represented each letter.

Lastly, please don't forget to decorate the front of your envelopes with beautiful washi tape!!! :)

In my research for the letter "I" today, I learned a very interested thing about butterflies. :)
