Description:

Starting off easy with a simple regional swap.

I don’t know about you all, but I love stamps! I love collecting them, and stamping them everywhere! The only problem is that they can get expensive. The purpose of this swap is to send each other 10 stamped (and cut out) images. This way, they basically turn into die cuts, and you can try out/use some new stamps without having to go out and buy a whole set. LOOK AT PICTURE FOR EXAMPLE!

I WILL ANGEL IF NEEDED, but hopefully will not have to. Newbies are welcome (obviously) but only with a well filled out profile. A rating of at least 4.9 is required to prevent flakers (and I will be checking!)

WHAT TO DO

  1. Take a piece of heavy white paper or cardstock.

  2. Stamp at least 10 images onto it.

(Choose a variety! Also make sure they are stamped well, no one wants to receive a faded one with parts missing!) No reward/teacher stamps please, and make sure they are a good size (not all small ones!)

  3. Neatly cut out the images

Yay! You now have die cuts! More than 10 images or other extras would be wonderful, but are not required. If you get at least 10 images, rate a 5. Stamps are senders choice, but it is always nice to look at your partners profile.

EACH PERSON WILL HAVE 2 PARTNERS, WHICH MEANS YOU GET 20 IMAGES IN TOTAL

If you have any questions, please ask! I would like to do this again in the future making it international and maybe having more than two partners.

If you do international next I’d love to join. I’m in Canada and I have a ton of stamps I would love to put to good use.

@Johannag11 Awesome! I definitely will do an international version in the future :)

Can we use the back of heavy duty card stock? I have card stock scraps that have a printed image on front but are white on back. Thanks

GuineverePendragon 07/31/2018 #

@Whovian487 That should be fine, as long as it doesn't effect the stamped image at all

Whovian487 07/31/2018 #

Great, thanks😀

Paperbitsandfabricsnips 08/ 2/2018 #

Should these be colored in or left black and white?

GuineverePendragon 08/ 2/2018 #

@paperbitsandfabricsnips Left in black and white! :) This way the recipient can choose what they would like to do.

Thanks!!

This may be a strange question (first time for stamp swap). Should you cut right up to the edge of the stamp or leave a little bit of border for partner? I don't mind cutting just want to do it right! Thanks

GuineverePendragon 08/11/2018 #

@sharmison33 I usually base that on how detailed the stamp is - for example if it has a very detailed edge I will leave a border, but if it has a smooth edge I will cut to the edge of the stamp. So either way works, just go with what you prefer :)

MitchR 08/14/2018 #

Do stamps have to be in black and white or can they be in color?

GuineverePendragon 08/14/2018 #

@MitchR Preferably black and white, but if you wanted to send your partner few extra ones that were colourful that would be awesome!

paperlover 08/14/2018 #

Can these be cut out with actual die cuts or do they have to be fussy cut?

GuineverePendragon 08/15/2018 #

@paperlover Whatever works for you! :) If you have stamps with matching die cuts, of course you can cut them out that way!

splendorpursuit 08/19/2018 #

Ugh. My poor swap partners. I’m spending today fussy cutting and I’m terrible at it. Next time I’m only stamping what I have dies for; I’m such an idiot. >.<
