Description:

Hi Everyone,

I recently received a Letter in a Wallet, and for those that have never made one, it is basically like the one in the Swap picture. It is a folded cover, and doesn't require any pages inside, so it's a lot simpler to make than a flip-book :o)

Inside

So, this swap will be to 2 partners and you will send them a lovely letter themed to their profile as best you can, enclosed in a card wallet, kind of like the outer layer of a flip-book, with lovely goodies dotted around the interior of the wallet.

Try to think of creative ways to decorate the wallet, letter and envelope, and to attach your goodies, for example using pockets, ribbon, split pins, paperclips, stickers, washi, lace, twine, etc. Try to concentrate on co-ordinating your colours to match your partners likes, this is a challenge for me as I find myself wanting to put a bit of everything in... he he. :)

This swap is open to Newbies that have a profile that is 'very' well filled out and people with good ratings etc.

You can add as much as you like, this is all about surprising your partners and hopefully sending them something from your country that they may not have received before, perhaps you will inspire them.

Please also remember to include the Swap name and your profile name, and ensure that you write the address clearly on the envelope, as post can be returned to you by your countries postal service if the address is not clear enough for them to deem appropriate.

Happy Swapping Everyone. Love Em. x :)

Is there a YouTube on how to make this? I can't really tell what it look like from the picture and I'm unclear as to what the wallet should look like. Looks fun though!

I concur with @alicrafter - I’d love to see a YouTube or blog post as those tiny photos aren’t really the best for examples.

Ditto! Sounds interesting but don't quite get it

I tried searching Pinterest to see a few examples and tutorials but couldn’t find anything pertaining to this. Is there a better search term besides “letter wallet”? This looks like a really fun swap!

Try searching Pinterest or YouTube for "Penpal folders".... I think this is what she's referring to. https://pin.it/j46g5ebv74g3ff

I found a YouTube that might be what @alicrafter is referring to.

It’s basically just two envelopes glued together.

Oops! I meant @emmalouloves

Hi All, I've uploaded some better images to the swap page, hope it makes more sense now.
