Description: | |
You will create one ATC for one partner, using distress ink or distress oxide and the stencil smooshing technique. With this technique, you apply your ink to the reverse side of the stencil, spritz with water, then flip and press onto your project. The video is for a journal, but you will just be working on a smaller scale. You will begin by creating your background with the technique. You may want to apply to gesso as shown, or perhaps water color paper, painted surface, etc. Use at least one stencil and one color of distress ink or distress oxide ink. If you are feeling brave, feel free to use several as shown in the video. Although distress oxide ink is used in the video, I have done the same with regular distress ink, so either one is completely acceptable for this swap. Once you are satisfied with your smooshing, let everything dry completely, then finish up your ATC with any additional elements like rubber stamping, trims, ephemera, die cuts, collage, etc. Standard ATC rules apply. Size must be 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches (or 64mm X 89mm). Be sure to use a strong and sturdy backing, not just paper or cardstock. On the back of your ATC, please include your name, date, and name of the swap. If you have questions, please message me or post below :) Happy creating! Image and video by Amber K. Creative. |
