Fabrics For Patchwork Purposes

Hi, The 8 inces is it 8x8? You said nearly, so they can be some what smaller like stips 2 x 8 or 3 x 8 etc.?

I forgot to say that the pieces are squares...8 inches squares, when I say nearly, it's becauise it's not exactly 8 inches, because 20cm is about 7,8 inches.

8"x8" will be the easiest for me to cut hope that will be okay with all of you. by patchwork purposes i thought you ment a fabric that will have light and/or dark value so that they complement one another IS THAT CORRECT?

That's up to you...soime patterns complement one another and some don't...but you decide what to send.

are there any limitations on fiber content of the fabric. I have loads of synthetic, by some folks don't like synthetics.

Also, what does suitable for patchwork mean? I'm new to sewing...

Lancea, it's not mandatory to send what your partners ask you to, you send what you can...synthetics is good for patchwork too, so you decide, OK?

I prefer cotton too, some plaid and striped patterns make me glad...

Isn't it fun going through your stash? I came up with an idea for a little quilt while moving all these piles around. Think I got some goodies that PiNKdOtTIEs, Jelel and Katy will like...I hope! In the mail today.
